I watched The Apprentice this week. What’s the big deal? It’s a bunch of egomaniacs stepping all over each other to claw their way to the top. Might as well show a bunch of baby rats climbing all over each other for mommy’s milk as far as I’m concerned.

But it did remind me of a show that makes madmen proud — My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss. Now that was a great show. Same egomaniac types on the show, but the joke is on them, and we get to watch. N. Paul Todd, the obnoxious boss himself, would be an honorary madman if he was a real person.

But some other egomaniacs at Fox canceled the show. Are you telling me more people would rather watch egomaniacs win a real prize on The Apprentice rather than make fools of themselves on MBFOB? Ridiculous.

Thankfully, some idiot at Fox at least had the decency to put the remaining episodes online. That makes me smile…almost.

On Tuesday, Google labs created a new home page called GoogleX. They mentioned it on their blog. The look of it was based on Mac OS X. This madman tried it. This madman loved it.

This madman went back to try it yesterday, and it was gone! What the freak? All I got was a lousy message saying: “The requested URL was not found on this server.” How dare they tease us like this?

Thankfully, several sites have given us a GoogleX mirror so you can see it for yourself. Ain’t it pretty? This madman is almost smiling…almost.

If you are at all with it, as we Raving Madmen types are, then you’ve seen the new trailer for Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith by now. It looks impressive…most impressive. There are fireballs, light sabers, space ships, and angry young men flying everywhere.

But Mr. Lucas, we have a concern. What about the kids? Never mind that this movie will be PG-13. I have a far graver concern…where is Jar Jar Binks? He didn’t show up one time in the entire trailer! Isn’t he there to give a new generation of Star Wars fans a lovable character they can look to as a role model? Besides, we Raving Madmen types get a lot to rave about when he is on screen.

So, Mr. Lucas, please — for the sake of impressionable children and raving madmen everywhere — give us Jar Jar!

Some of the entertainment media were suggesting this past week the Bruce Willis and Lindsay Lohan were hooking up. What is sicker…the fact that these kinds of things do happen, the fact that these two might have been pretending just for some publicity, or the fact that the entertainment media were hyping it up just to get some attention themselves?

What’s going to be next? Will we hear rumors that is Christopher Lee living in an Winnebago out front of Dakota Fanning’s house, waiting for her 18th birthday?

Everyone has a blog these days. It’s another stupid trend that will die out in a few years. Blogs are the new pogs. We will make fun of them before you know it.

However, for a couple of raving madmen, it’s a pretty good way to point out all the stupid stuff that goes on out there. So…check us out…we have a blog now too. We might be raving madmen, but we have a worldwide audience.
